In Kerala's temple murals and traditional dance performances Mohini (the seductive aspect of the divine) is seen playing with a ball (see p. 35 in Frenz, Albrecht und Krishna Kumar Marar. Wall Paintings in North Kerala/India - 1000 Years of Temple Art. Stuttgart: Arnoldsche Art Publishers, 2004).

Dancer: Sneha Srikumar (Natanakaisiki); Choreography and conductor of the Natanakaisiki Ensemble: Nirmala Paniker (Tala cymbals); composition and vocal: Kalamandalam Jayaprakash; accompanists: P. Nandakumar (Idakka drum), Chalakudi Raghunath (bamboo flute) and Kalanilayam Prakash (Maddalam drum).
